Pius XII Blessing Nazi Arms

Hungary, the country of my birth, allied with Germany until March 1944, when Germany occupied Hungary and installed a puppet Nazi regime. One day I was puzzled to see a full colour front page in the Sunday Newspaper in Budapest, with a photograph of a large colonnaded square full of armed soldiers, and big proud headlines 'A Papa megaldja a Fasiszta fegyvereket' or 'The Pope blessing the Fascists’ arms'.
