No Escape
July 24. 1922. The League of Nations granted Great Britain a mandate for Palestine with a view to providing a Jewish National Home and a guarantee of Jewish immigration while safeguarding the rights of all its citizens.
From 6th to 15th July 1938 an International Conference at Evain-les-Bains, France, decreed that they could not permit the entry of Jewish refugees from Europe to any other country.
On May 17th 1939.The British government issued a White Paper announcing severe restrictions on Jewish immigration to Palestine and also a restriction on Jewish land purchases in Palestine.
In effect all doors were closed, leaving no escape from the Nazi slaughter.
