Dust to Dust
In a series of wax paintings I tried to show the fragility and vulnerability of Human flesh.
I wanted to illustrate human bodies cracking up and falling apart spiritually and physically due to unbearable pressure
I started a series of paintings; modelling shapes in wax which I over painted with oil colours. I hoped that the wax would give a plastic reality to the texture of human flesh and the colour would echo the sombre reality and so bring the charred bodies back to life
